  2. Copy the code

Sorry, my dear. You can’t install Google optimise directly to your blogger, but I can help you. 

Installing Google optimise with help of Google tag manager. 

Collect following necessary information

You need the following information to install Optimize:

Your Analytics tracking ID of Google Analytics.

Get you to optimize container id πŸ†”πŸŽ« .

Confirm that your Tag Manager and Analytics tracker settings use the shared Google Analytics Settings variable.

  • Configure Optimize in Tag Manager. 

Once you have collected the above information then follow the given step.

Sign in to Tag Manager and select an account.

  • Click Tags > New.

  • Click the Tag Configuration. 

  • Choose Google Optimize.

  • Enter your Optimize container ID.

  • Select a Google Analytics Settings variable on πŸ”› which you want to track.

  • Click Save and save the tag without triggers.

  • Open the Analytics page view tag for the Analytics property linked to your Optimize container.

  • Click Tag Configuration then Advanced Settings then Tag Sequencing.

  • Check the box to fire a tag before this tag fires. 

  • Under the Setup Tag heading, click the menu and select the desired Optimize tag.

  • Configure the Optimize tag to fire once per page, then save it.

  • Publish your Tag Manager container for the changes to take effect.

Best practice for placement of snippet. 

For optimal performance place your Tag Manager tag at the very top of the <head> of every page you wish to optimize.

The only items that should appear above the global site tag are:

Data layer initialization. Note: the dataLayer variable should never be reassigned after the anti-flicker snippet (when used).

Any scripts that declare JavaScript variables, functions, or set cookies that you wish to use in Optimize experiences. For example jQuery or any JavaScript library that you wish to use in implementation or targeting. Note: jQuery isn’t installed by Optimize by default.

The optional anti-flicker snippet which can be used to avoid flicker.

Don’t worry about Google optimise.
